A celebration of all things foodie for the opening weekend of this year’s New Mills Festival, starting with a gourmet street food brunch by The Pulled Swine from 11am, to kick start your Sunday. There’s even handmade vegan crumpets, with either strawberry jam or tarragon mushrooms!

This year, the artisan food fair is diversifying and, as well as the best of local produce, aims to provide visitors with inspirational ingredients and recipes to encourage a little kitchen experimentation of their own.

There will be food demos from new Marple restaurant (and 2016 Manchester Food and Drink Festival Best Street Food Winner) Chaat Cart and street food guru Dim Sum Su, who will be showing you how to make dumplings (and buy some to take home).  There will be pies and salads from The Butterfly House and fresh meats from The Old Cow Shed at Chisworth (including, we hope, his Guanciale, which is the key ingredient to a 'real' Carbonara sauce).

Local roaster Peak Bean is providing coffee and drinks and you can taste beers from Rock Mill Brewery too.  Add to all this, jams, pickles, chutneys, cakes and vegetables and you should leave with something for everyone.

Admission FREE but donations to New Mills Festival are welcome.
