Bethan McGlynn spent her childhood years in BirchVale where she first discovered her creativity at a young age.
She moved away as a young adult to travel and live in other parts but returned to NewMills 15 years ago. Bethan is now 46 years old.
In 1995 Bethan achieved a 1st class BA Hons in Fine Art/Painting at Manchester Met University. From then on she has continued in her creative endeavours alongside bringing up two girls.
Bethan’s art is inspired by personal experiences, drawings, memories, imagination, colour and experimenting with materials.
She has worked on art projects/commissions and sold art over the years.
Sean and Bethan met around 9 years ago and have always lived in New Mills together. They have collaborated on art pieces since meeting and have a creative connection. Their story started with materials they found close to home, experimenting with Mosaic, art from found objects and mixed media.
Bethan and Sean established a creative business transforming old furniture and discarded objects of interest which also led to buying and selling antiques. The business developed over the years and they traded from premises in Buxton ,later on in Furness Vale
