High Peak Community Arts’ 'Project eARTh' worked with artist Amanda Whewell on this textiles project inspired by New Mills Community Orchard, creating pattern designs with hand printing, appliqué, and embroidery of apples, pears and plums. The completed fabrics have been made into beautiful curtains for High Lea Hall.  Project eARTh (environmental arts and health) is an arts and wellbeing programme for adults experiencing mental distress or other long term conditions.  Participants get together to create art works for the community. It is funded by The Big Lottery, and is a partnership between High Peak Community Arts, High Peak Community Mental Health Team, High Peak Mental Health Project and High Peak CVS.
