"The inspiration for my photography is the landscape and the light; in particular I am drawn to the way the fall of light draws out the tones, textures and contrasts within the landscape as well as the relationship that exists between the land and sky.  I work with black and white film and hand print all of my photographs in a wet darkroom utilising traditional techniques and materials. I work with film and traditional photographic papers because of the creative and sometimes unpredictable nature of the processes and materials; I am excited and inspired by the creativity of the darkroom process themselves as well as the hands on nature of working with film and light sensitive papers.  All of my work is printed by hand and from each individual negative I will produce only one or occasionally two final photographs in order to emphasise the unique nature of the process."
