Come on a magical lantern procession in the Torrs, walk over the famous Millennium Walkway flanked by impressive fire sculptures and see hundreds of hand-made lanterns lighting up the evening. Bring your own lantern if you have one, or just join in the procession. Ends at Newtown Recreation Ground with live music and a fantastic fireworks display at 8.40pm.
Please do not enter The Torrs except below Central Station and keep going in one direction.

White Van Man Are Back!
White Van Man have just confirmed that they will once again be able to play at the end of this year's Lantern Procession. As well as playing at the culmination of the Festival the band are also featuring in 'The King and Us', one of the first events of the fortnight. Tickets for this are already sold out though so if you want to see these local legends join the procession on the 24th! White Van Man will be playing on the Newtown Recreation Ground, their set will finish with the firework display at 8.40pm. The procession leaves from below Central Station at 7.30pm and is free. If you want to make your own lantern to carry get along to a couple of the Lantern Workshops that are running throughout the Festival. Further details are in the programme.
